Shoot.. I just saw (via Eric D.) that Rolling Rock has sold out to one of the big breweries.. I had some good times from those green bottles and hate to see the company get swallowed up by the big guys.
I wonder.. will the marketing folks at Busch have a good time with the "33"?
Oh well, I can't blame the owners of RR selling out in a tough marketplace, and they probably did well and can retire to some sunny beach. I just hope my favorite brewery doesn't sell out too soon.. they've got a nice big building that they're moving into and will start cranking out the brew from there in another month or so. They won some pretty prestigious awards recently, so if you haven't tried their Black Mocha Stout then you're missing out.

rolling rock was lately owned by a multinational, inBev. so i guess they're already sitting pretty. the good news is that the latrobe brewery might be picked up by city brewing out of wisconsin. unfortuntaely, AB will keep latrobe & "33" on the label.
