So I came across this report that macworldexpo.com is running on a windows box. I just have to chuckle..
Ironically, their uptime isn't bad at all... except during that little keynote.
And they aren't just running on a M$ box.. they're all into it.. with SQL and ASP .NET .. wonder why they aren't using something from Apple? Or using open source alternatives? People do use MySQL and PHP on M$ boxes.. oh.. wait.. I get it now.. see that thing crashed and burned during the keynote... and if it WERE running on an OSX server and all that then it would be a bit emberrasing, right? This way if it fails it's easy to point to it and say "see.. that M$ stuff is junk".. nah, much more likely that IDG just doesn't give a flip what that site is running on.

IDG puts on Mac world, so yeah, Apple would have no say in what they use. I used to work for a meeting management place and one of the clients was a large company from Redmond - the site was written in coldfusion - so there you go.
Still kind of funny, but Apple would not actually be using windows themselves... not sure why anyone would
