A year ago I met someone who was in a startup looking for venture capital. Their plan was to create a site where all the baby boomers out there could go and write down their life story. I thought this was a great idea since I have a little book written by my grandmother that she wrote before she passed away. But words aren't enough. There's already loads of "write my life story" kind of sites on the web.

Here's what I wanted.. that big box of photos at my parents house? I'd like to be able to upload some to a site where my parents could take them and drag them onto a timeline and add comments - either text or maybe record some audio clips. The same with little video clips.. drag them somewhere onto a timeline and then add comments. And other family members should be able to add comments and additional images or videos.

I keep thinking somebody will do a site like that.. and here's the closest I've found so far: http://www.dandelife.com/ which is very cool.
Now.. if only the timeline were a little more interactive and I could see images or videos at the top.. this is screaming for a Flash/Flex UI... and... if I don't have a flickr account and don't want one then I can't have images on my timeline?
