I'm not trying to minimize what happened at Virginia Tech.. but I've heard way too much about the killer. My family has seen the pictures of him glaring into the camera holding guns way too many times, we've heard his nut case self rambling on about why he did it. His goal was to be immortalized, and the media is giving him that in spades.
Cover the loss, the victims, etc... but please stop giving his messages air time.

Yeah, I pretty much agree Though, it's not as if he wins if he's in the center of the news. It's not as if he approached the whole deal with any sort of logical plan to get famous. I mean, sure, maybe that's what he wanted--but to apply even this simplified logic (that he did it to be famous) is to say that he existed in the same world of logic and sensibility that most of us do. I guess I'm just saying there's no answer that can explain what happened and to even try to explain it is inherently flawed.
Good luck.
